Preach Patriotism, Preach Civic Responsibility - OSMAN AYARIGA ESQ. to RELIGIOUS LEADERS
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Ayariga Esq., has entreated Religious leaders not to only preach Salvation but Preach Patriotism and Civic Responsibility to instill discipline in the Ghanaian youth. He made this statement at the Christian Dialogue with the Youth at the Empowerment worship Center, Dzorwulu. The Christian Dialogue forms part of the 2025 National Youth Festival activities.
He added that the Authority and the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has chosen the whole month of August to celebrate and empower Ghanaian youth to help in the nation’s development.
In addition, the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare Addo, stated that Health and wellbeing, Education and skills, Civic responsibilities, and building of globally competitive youth leadership is part of the main focus of the Ministry towards the development of the Ghanaian Youth. Hon. Opare Addo added that the Reset of the Country Starts with the mind, so he has entreated everyone to join hands on the ‘Reset Agenda’. He said 10,000 National Service Personnel will go through Military training as part of their responsibility towards the nation within six(6) weeks. He further entreated everyone, especially religious leaders, to help preach the ‘Red means Stop’ campaign because the data on Drug Abuse has become scary. The Minister further appealed to Rehabilitation centers to help in the fight against drug abuse addiction.
