NYA holds a two-day working retreat for NAP coordinators and Regional Directors

The National Youth Authority has held a two-day working retreat for its Regional Coordinators of the National Apprenticeship Programme and Regional Directors to review the progress of the Programme's implementation.

The two-day retreat, held in the Eastern Region, also discussed emerging challenges and identified pathways to mitigate them.

Chief Executive Officer of NYA, Mr Osman Ayariga Esq, encouraged the coordinators to commit fully to the program's success and make it attractive for future generations as the initiative forms part of President John Dramani Mahama's reset agenda to create more jobs and empower the youth of our country.

During his presentation, the National Coordinator of NAP, Mr Nicodemus Dery, provided an overview of the program's framework and objectives, which aim to equip young people with skills that will transform their lives and communities.

The event featured multiple resource speakers who covered a variety of critical areas, including: Financial management and resource allocation, Organisational relationship management, Performance monitoring and data management and how to develop regional-level M&E action plans.

Deputy CEO in charge of Operations and Programs, Alhaji Inusah Mahama, expressed his profound appreciation to the regional representatives for their dedication and hard work after the launch of the Project and urged them to make good use of every contribution made at the retreat to achieve positive results in their various regions.

The two-day retreat concluded with renewed commitments ensuring NAP achieves its intended impact across the country.
