Choose a Bright Future, Not Drugs — Osman Ayariga Advises Ghanaian Youth

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Ayariga, Esq., has advised the youth to stay away from substance abuse in order to secure a bright future for themselves.

Speaking at the YFM Area Code Jam held at the Legon City Mall, Mr. Ayariga cautioned young people against the misconception that one needs to be under the influence of drugs to learn or perform better. He urged them to reject such advice, emphasizing that it is entirely false and detrimental to their well-being.

Mr. Ayariga further noted that widespread substance abuse among the youth could hinder national development. According to him, funds that could otherwise be invested in infrastructure and growth would instead have to be channeled into rehabilitation efforts for affected individuals.

The Area Code Jam is one of YFM’s flagship youth events, a vibrant celebration that blends music, lifestyle, and social purpose, creating a platform for positive youth engagement and inspiration.
