Utilize Social Media to Fight Cybersecurity Issues -DCEO to Young Influencers

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations and Programmes at the National Youth Authority, Alhaji Inusah Mahama, has admonished young people to utilise social media in combating cybersecurity issues.

According to him, issues of cybersecurity are on the rise, and he opined that the use of social media can help create awareness and provide relevant information for the youth to make informed decisions.

The DCEO made this call on 15 October 2025, at the head office of the Authority, during a one-day training and launch of the Cybersecurity Awareness Month Campaign for young influencers, hosted by the NYA.

He commended the influencers who have worked hard to build their social media channels and encouraged them to give back to society by using the same platforms to address security issues.

A total of 80 young influencers participated in the training.
