Dunkwa-On-Offin Youth Resource Centre not Abandoned

Over the years, the National Youth Authority has worked tirelessly to provide education, skills development, and opportunity for young people through several pragmatic interventions, including the construction of youth resource centers.

In the Central Region of Ghana, the abandoned Dunkwa-on-Offin youth resource center is one of the six to be completed.

On Tuesday 17th September 2024, a management team from the National Youth Authority paid a working visit to the Dunkwa-on-Offin youth resource center.

The visit forms part of NYA's commitment to youth development and the development of sports infrastructure in the country.

Engaging the team on the site, the consultant representative, Matthew Dogbey, disclosed that the project is about 94% complete and was certain that, all things being equal, it should be handed over soon.

In his response, the Head of Administration of NYA, Mr. Anaman Mensah expressed his disappointment at the low pace of work because funds had been released to the contractor to complete work. He urged the site engineer to speed up work to hand it over.
