Deliver Service with Diligence and Humility – NYA CEO to Yango Couriers
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr. Osman Ayariga, Esq., has urged Yango couriers to deliver their services with diligence and humility to strengthen customer relations and improve service delivery. He made this call at the 2025 Yango Partner Conference, an event dedicated to celebrating and rewarding Yango’s partners and hard-working couriers, held at the National Theatre
In his address, Mr. Ayariga noted that the conference was not merely an awards ceremony, but a recognition of a transformative movement, a partnership among technology, entrepreneurship, and the relentless ambition of Ghanaian youth. He commended Yango for building a robust platform that is expanding economic opportunities for young people across the country.
According to him, Yango’s model succeeds because it is anchored on three key components: Technology and Access Local Enterprise Growth and Youth Employment and Upward Mobility
Mr. Ayariga applauded Yango for its contribution to reducing youth unemployment in Ghana. He encouraged couriers to remain presentable and professional in their work and emphasised the importance of wearing helmets not to avoid the police, but for their own safety. He also challenged Yango couriers to change the public perception of reckless riding by demonstrating responsibility and discipline on the roads.
He concluded by reaffirming NYA’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that improve the lives of Ghanaian youth.
Delivering tips on road safety, the Head of Education, Research and Training at the MTTD, Chief Superintendent Alexander Obeng, stressed that road safety is a global concern, citing research that shows 1.19 million people lose their lives annually on the world’s roads. He revealed that in Ghana alone, 5,800 out of 13,320 road accidents involve motorcycles. He highlighted factors such as transport system failures, careless driving, and wrongful overtaking as major causes of accidents.
Chief Supt. Obeng advised that drivers should rest after every eight hours of continuous driving. He also explained that CCTV cameras installed at traffic posts enable the police to monitor activities on the roads. He concluded by urging all couriers to comply with road safety regulations at all times.
The General Manager for Yango, Mr. Emmanuel Adjei Koduah, expressed Yango’s appreciation to its partners for their continued collaboration, which he said has helped transform Ghana’s delivery landscape. He noted that Yango has become a key support system for tens of thousands of small businesses, with many relying on it as the primary solution for reaching their customers. He reiterated that the purpose of the Yango Partner Conference is to acknowledge and celebrate the tremendous contributions of its partners and couriers to the company’s success.
The event ended with several couriers and Yango partners receiving awards in recognition of their dedication and hard work
